Journal of Investigative Dermatology – Editor Search

The Society for Investigative Dermatology (SID) in collaboration with the European Society for
Dermatological Research (ESDR) seeks candidates for the position of Editor for the Journal of Investigative
Dermatology, a top‐ranked journal in the field of dermatology, with an impact factor of 7.143 (2019).
The term for the Editor will be June 1, 2022 through May 31, 2027. Recent Editors have been in Geneva,
Chapel Hill, Dallas, Boston, and St. Louis. Editorial operations have been centered in Chapel Hill since
2002.
The ideal candidate should be a dynamic, recognized investigator committed to the communication of
scientific knowledge. The Editor will be responsible for selecting the content published in the JID and
developing a strategic vision for the Journal, as well as recruiting an effective editorial board.

Manuscript submission, review, and production are accomplished through an online system that
facilitates remote use and rapid review.

An ad hoc committee including both SID and ESDR members will review submitted proposals and
interview candidates.
