ISID and LEO Foundation Partner to Expand Global Reach of Early-Career Awards

Inaugural EMEA Region Application Cycle June 1-30

The International Societies for Investigative Dermatology (ISID) and LEO Foundation have partnered to launch the ISID-LEO Foundation Awards — a collaboration designed to amplify the reach and impact of these prestigious recognitions for early-career skin researchers.

The partnership brings administration of the awards under ISID, providing consistent support and broader promotion across the global dermatology research community. This is especially significant for the Asia-Pacific region, which previously had limited administrative infrastructure for the awards program. The goal is to ensure exceptional science from all ISID regions receives the visibility and support it deserves.

The ISID-LEO Foundation Awards recognize outstanding scientists whose work represents an extraordinary contribution to skin research and has the potential to pave the way for new and improved treatments for skin diseases. Three awards of $100,000 each are given annually — one in each global region: Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), and Asia-Pacific.

What This Means for Applicants

  • Greater visibility within the global investigative dermatology community through SID, ESDR, and Asian society channels
  • Enhanced networking opportunities and potential collaborations across ISID regions
  • Consistent application support and communication throughout the evaluation process
  • ISID-LEO Foundation Alumni status, connecting you with a growing international cohort of emerging leaders in skin science
