Konstantinos Krasagakis is a Professor and Chairman of Dermatology at the University of Crete. He graduated from the Medical School in Athens and received his doctoral degree and specialization in Dermatology and Venereology from the Free University of Berlin. His research has focused on clinical aspects, epidemiology, growth regulation, signal transduction, and immunology. He has made several clinical and research contributions, particularly in melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, psoriasis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. Prof. Krasagakis has served as principal investigator in numerous national and international multicenter clinical trials, especially in psoriasis, and has secured research grants from prestigious organizations such as the German Research Society, the Greek Ministry of Education, and the European Union. He has also participated as a co-investigator in major translational research projects. His scholarly output includes over 120 cited publications and an H-index of 33. Beyond research, he has held key administrative and leadership roles, contributed to scientific committees, and organized national congresses. His work has been recognized with multiple awards and fellowships.
