Group leader positions (including start up package) available within the Barts Centre for Squamous Cancer
At Barts and the London School of Medicine, Queen Mary University of London, we have been very fortunate to obtain significant funding from the Barts Charity to form a centre of excellence for squamous cancer bringing together researchers especially in the fields of cutaneous; oral (head and neck) and oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma. The funding allows the recruitment of two new group leaders at senior lecturer/professor level to lead new programmes of research in squamous cell carcinogenesis. A start up package is available for new recruits.
In addition to our current research teams, we have further expanded the Barts Centre for Squamous Cancer with the recruitment of a senior epidemiologist and support researchers in core facilities including tissue banking, in vitro/in vivo models and bioinformatics.
We are looking to recruit excellent established biomedical science researchers in squamous carcinogenesis to join the Centre, which was launched with a virtual symposium on the 28th April 2021 (available on line at https://www.qmul.ac.uk/bcsc/ ). The posts are suitable for mid-career academics researchers aspiring to leadership.
Please spread this news to suitable candidates for these two group leader positions within your organisations. Interested candidates should contact Professors Irene Leigh (firstname.lastname@example.org) or David Kelsell (email@example.com).
